Doctors Alleging Donald Trump’s Instability Are Breaking Professional Ethics

A petition has been circulating recently asking for the signatures of mental health professionals who believe that Donald Trump is mentally unstable. Started by Dr. John Gartner, the petition now has almost 60,000 signatures. It seems that the infusion of political ideology into fields that have nothing to do with politics has reached a climax. Leftist mental health professionals are now weighing the ethical concerns of whether they have a “duty to warn” the world about how dangerous Donald Trump is. I wrote a post for The Federalist addressing these concerns and why ultimately, the Left has done nothing to earn our attention when it comes to ethical discussions.

  1. If Trump were living a private life, yes, doctors talking about his mental health in public would do ethical violations.

But Trump has made himself the highest profile public figure in the world, his mental health, his mental illness, his mental instability, is a clear and present danger to every American, and potentially to every human alive on the planet, so this is a special case.

Trump displays signs and symptoms of:

    Attention Deficit Disorder
    Antisocial Personality Disorder
    Narcissistic Personality Disorder
    Schizophrenia (persistent delusional thinking)

It is very troubling to have as President of the United States a man who appears to be seriously mentally ill, based on his public speech and public behavior. Who is gravely dishonest, on November 4 the Toronto Star published it’s compilation of 560 Trump lies in the first 10 months of 2016, last August Politico published its compilation of 87 Trump lies in one week, in March Huffington Post published its compilation of 100 Trump lies in the first 36 days of his presidency.

Under the circumstances, the Goldwater Rule must be ignored.
